Celebrate the 60th Annual Idyllwild 4th of July Parade with Us
Wax Apothecary is delighted the 60th Annual 4th of July Parade, presented by the Rotary Club of Idyllwild on Saturday, July 4, 2026 will be launching from just outside our storefront at Fern Valley Corners in front of The Fern Valley Emporium!
This beloved mountain tradition brings together locals, visitors, families, and community organizations for a morning filled with hometown pride, music, creative parade entries, and festive summer energy. The 2026 parade is especially meaningful as the community celebrates both 60 years of Idyllwild’s 4th of July Parade tradition and the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.
Bring a chair and watch the parade from our parking lot in front of The Funky Bazaar, located near the top of town, where guests can shop botanical candles, aromatherapy goods, handmade gifts, local art, refreshing beverages, baked goods, cakes and summer essentials before or after the parade.
A Cherished Idyllwild Community Tradition
For six decades, the Idyllwild 4th of July Parade has brought the mountain community together in celebration of patriotism, local spirit, and small-town connection. The event features more than 40 parade entries, including creative floats, marching bands, local organizations, and community service groups such as local fire, sheriff, and mountain rescue teams.
This year’s Grand Marshal is Marsha Kennedy, recognized for her work with Mountain Disaster Preparedness and her contribution to the safety and resilience of the Idyllwild community.

Parade Day Schedule
8:00 AM – Parade entries line up from Fern Valley Four Corners at South Circle
9:00 AM – Traffic will be blocked along North Circle Drive
10:00 AM – Parade begins at Four Corners (Top of the Town) at the top of North Circle and continues toward Idyllwild Park in the center of town
Guests are encouraged to arrive early, plan for road closures, and allow extra time for parking and walking through town. Road closures are expected along the parade route from 9:00 AM to noon.
