Celebrate Community, Creativity & Connection at Love Wins 2026
Wax Apothecary is proud to participate in Love Wins 2026, a free LGBTQ+ community celebration taking place in Idyllwild, California, on Saturday, October 3, 2026.
Presented by St. Hugh of Lincoln Episcopal Church, Love Wins brings friends, families, neighbors, visitors, and allies together for an afternoon of live music, local vendors, food, drinks, family-friendly activities, and community connection.
Look for the Wax Apothecary booth during the event, where we’ll be sharing a selection of our handcrafted botanical candles, aromatherapy goods, and artisan gifts.
A Free Community Celebration in Idyllwild
Love Wins is centered around a simple message: all are welcome.
Set against Idyllwild’s beautiful mountain backdrop, the event celebrates people, pets, nature, spirit, community, and love while creating an inviting gathering place for locals and visitors alike.
Throughout the afternoon, attendees can enjoy live entertainment, browse community and vendor booths, grab something to eat or drink, participate in activities, and spend time together in the mountains.
The event is designed to welcome friends, families, LGBTQ+ community members, allies, children, and pets for an inclusive afternoon in Idyllwild.
Live Music Throughout the Afternoon
Music is at the heart of this year’s celebration, with performances scheduled throughout the event.
The entertainment lineup includes:
- The Palm Springs Gay Men’s Chorus
- The Auroras
- The SarcastrokNOTS
- Patrice Morris
The festivities begin with a welcome and introduction at 1:00 PM, followed by live performances continuing through 6:00 PM.
Visit the Wax Apothecary Booth
Wax Apothecary will be joining the event as a participating vendor, bringing our botanical apothecary experience beyond our Idyllwild storefront and into this community celebration.
Stop by our booth to discover a curated selection of:
- Handcrafted botanical candles
- Plant-based home fragrance
- Aromatherapy room and linen sprays
- Incense and aromatic goods
- Artisan soaps and bath products
- Seasonal fragrances and giftable finds
Made in Idyllwild in small batches, our collections are inspired by plants, traditional aromatherapy, and the forests and flowers of the San Jacinto Mountains.
Love Wins is also a wonderful opportunity to meet us in person, explore different fragrances, and find a scent that speaks to you.
Blessings for Animals
Four-legged family members are welcome, too.
In recognition of the Feast of St. Francis, the event will offer Blessings for Animals from 2:00–5:00 PM.
Guests are invited to bring their pets and enjoy an afternoon designed to celebrate the connection between people, animals, nature, and community.
Family-Friendly Fun
Love Wins includes activities for visitors of all ages, including a Kidz Zone and a photo booth for pets and people.
Whether you come for the music, shopping, activities, community gathering, or simply an afternoon outside in Idyllwild, the event offers plenty of opportunities to connect and make memories.
Supporting Idyllwild's Creative Community
Community events are an important part of what makes Idyllwild such a distinctive mountain town.
As an Idyllwild-based small business, Wax Apothecary values opportunities that bring together local makers, musicians, organizations, residents, and visitors while encouraging people to discover and support the businesses and creative community that call the mountain home.
We’re pleased to join Love Wins and look forward to spending the afternoon with our neighbors and visitors.
