About Us
In an age of mass production and artificial fragrance, Wax Apothecary stands as a return to the roots — where nature, intention, and artistry converge in the glow of a candle.
Based in the mountain town of Idyllwild, California, Wax Apothecary is a handcrafted candle and botanical goods company inspired by the old-world apothecary tradition. At the heart of the brand is a simple but powerful belief: that nature knows best. Every candle is thoughtfully created with plant-based, clean-burning ingredients, dried flora, and essential oils, blending timeless aromatherapy practices with a distinctly modern sense of sustainability and style.
Each candle is a quiet ritual. A moment of pause. A purposeful blend of botanical tradition and contemporary wellness. Wax Apothecary doesn’t just scent a room—it awakens the senses, elevates the spirit, and reconnects the consumer with the natural world. From the intoxicating softness of Night-Blooming Jasmine to the purifying clarity of Silver-Dollar Eucalyptus, our fragrances are true-to-nature, designed to honor plants as they are found in the wild.
More than just a brand, Wax Apothecary is a movement—toward intentional living, eco-conscious choices, and a slower, more beautiful way of being. Our commitment to the environment is ongoing, exemplified through our partnership with One Tree Planted, which supports global reforestation with every purchase.
As a women-owned, artisan-led small business, Wax Apothecary champions craftsmanship, integrity, and heritage. From local collaborations and custom scent designs to private label opportunities and national wholesale distribution, our brand is ever-growing, but our roots remain grounded in the values that started it all.
We are here to rekindle the lost art of botanical wellness—one flame at a time.
